The sheikh of Quatar, Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani is vacationing in his favorite island of  Skiathos under the Greek sun, the nature and of course green and blue waters. The sheikh who visits Skiathos every summer has created strong bonds with this island. He arrived yesterday evening with his floating 'palace' yatch, "Al Mirqab", in Skiathos Palace Hotel in Koukounaries beach. The high guest had a swim in Maratha beach and later walked the streets of Skiathos town ending up for dinner in his favorite grill place where he keeps a good relationship with the owners and always has the best dinner. The sheikh was dressed down wearing white shorts with a plain blue T-shirt and passed unnoticed through the crowds, accompanied by by one of his sons and a few members of his crew. His yacht, the Al Mirqab has a length of 133 meters and a beam of 18 meters. She is built of steel and can cruise at 18.7 knots with a maximum speed of 20.3 knots. The yacht can accommodate 24 guests in 10 guest suites with two VIP suites for the yacht owner. The suites are large; each with their own bathroom, living room and double bedroom. Some of the amenities on board include: a cinema, outside bars, inside swimming pool and outside jacuzzi, sunbathing places, and a helicopter pad.
