Ομάδα 11 καλλιτεχνών από την Αυστραλία φιλοξενήθηκε στην Σκιάθο το Μάϊο του 2025 και για 5 ημέρες με συντονίστρια την Jennifer Keeler-Milne, με σκοπό να αποτυπώσουνε το νησί μέσω της ζωγραφικής. Το ταξίδι διοργανώθηκε από την Kerri Ainsworth, η οποία διευθύνει μια αυστραλιανή εταιρεία με την ονομασία Art Travel Adventures και επίσης αγαπά τη ζωγραφική και τη δημιουργία.

Η ομάδα φιλοξενήθηκε στο ξενοδοχείο Alkyon, το οποίο αποτέλεσε εξαιρετική βάση για τους ίδιους. Μετά τη Σκιάθο, η ομάδα ταξίδεψε και στη Σκόπελο, επίσης για ζωγραφική.

Στη Σκιάθο, οι καλλιτέχνες απόλαυσαν τη ζωγραφική σε διάφορα σημεία του νησιού: γύρω από το λιμάνι, στο Μπούρτζι, στις Πλάκες (μπαρ Salkimi), από το μπαλκόνι του ξενοδοχείου Alkyon, στον Άγιο Αλέξανδρο και στη Μονή Ευαγγελίστριας.

Σύμφωνα με τη συντονίστρια της δράσης Jennifer Keeler-Milne όλοι λάτρεψαν το νησί της Σκιάθου και εντυπωσιάστηκαν από την ανταπόκριση των τοπίων στη ζωγραφική. 

11 artists from Australia captured Skiathos through painting

A group of 11 artists from Australia visited Skiathos in May 2025 for five days, led by Jennifer Keeler-Milne, with the purpose of capturing the island through drawing and painting. The trip was organized by Kerri Ainsworth, who runs an Australian company called Art Travel Adventures and also has a deep love for drawing and creative expression.

The group was hosted at the Alkyon Hotel, which served as an excellent base for their activities. After their stay in Skiathos, they continued their artistic journey on the island of Skopelos.

During their time in Skiathos, the artists enjoyed painting at various locations around the island: around the port, at Bourtzi, in Plakes (Bar Salkimi), from the balcony of the Alkyon Hotel, at Agios Alexandros, and at the Evangelistrias Monastery.

According to the group’s coordinator, Jennifer Keeler-Milne, everyone fell in love with Skiathos and was deeply inspired by the island’s landscapes and how they responded to them through art.
